Smarason to Aalborg with immediate effect

Janus Dadi Smarason joins Aalborg Håndbold with immediate effect.
The 22-year-old Icelandic playmaker, Janus Smarason, currently with Iceland for the World Championship, moves with immediate effect to Aalborg Håndbold.
Aalborg Håndbold could last week announce that there was an agreement with the Icelandic Haukar-player from 1 July, but now he joins the Danish top club after the World Championship a half year early.
"Since then we have agreed with his Icelandic club (Hauker, ed.) that he moves with immediate effect. We are excited to add such a strong player for our team to the close and exciting program that awaits in the coming months," says the sporting director of Aalborg Håndbold, Jan Larsen.
The two parties have signed a contract to the summer of 2020.
