The German line player of Frisch Auf! Göppingen, Manuel Späth, has signed a 2-year contract with the league rivals TVB 1898 Stuttgart from next season to the summer of 2019.

As written already in early November: After 11 seasons in Frisch Auf! Göppingen the 31-year-old German line player Manuel Späth leaves the South Germans. The defensive specialist has signed a 2-year contract with the Bundesliga rivals TVB 1898 Stuttgart from next season to the summer of 2019.

CEO of TVB 1898 Stuttgart, Jürgen Schweikardt, states in the press release from the club, that he is happy for the signing of the former German national player. "With Manuel Späth, we were able to convince an experienced Bundesliga player, who is also a man from the region, to move to TVB. He will give our team more stability on the offensive as well as on the defensive, and he is a real leader. We are very much looking forward to get Manuel."

Manuel Späth needed a new challenge: "I've followed the path of the TVB already close up for many years. The new task attracts me uncommonly, even if I the farewell from Göppingen is not easy. Nevertheless, I am convinced that it is the right step."

Frisch Auf! Göppingen has found the successor of Manuel Späth. Jacob Bagersted has signed a 2-year contract.
