Icelandic initial squad for WC

The Icelandic national coach Geir Sveinsson has named his 28-man initial squad before the upcoming World Championship in France in January.

Experienced Icelandic players as Snorri Gudjonsson, Alexander Petersson and Robert Gunnarsson have decided to retire from the national team recently.

Iceland is in Group B at the World Championship 2017 with Spain, Slovenia, Macedonia, Tunesia and Angola
