Skjern Håndbold has signed Christoffer Cichosz from Mors-Thy Håndbold.
The Danish top club Skjern Håndbold has signed the 28-year-old Danish line player of the Danish league rivals Mors-Thy Håndbold, Christoffer Cichosz, from next season to replace the current captain of the club, Thomas Klitgaard, who retires after this season. The two parties has agreed on a 2-year contract to the summer of 2019.
Christopher Cichosz walks in the footsteps of Søren Pedersen and Morten Balling, who both previously have moved from Mors-Thy Håndbold to Skjern Håndbold.
Christopher Cichosz:
"I've always heard really good things about Skjern, its culture and the setup of the club. Therefore, I am incredibly proud and delighted to be able to draw in the green jersey the coming seasons. Playing in an established Danish top club has always been my goal, so now I will do everything I can to help the team to perform and fulfill the club's ambitions."
Head coach of Skjern Håndbold, Ole Nørgaard:
"With Christoffer Cichosz we add a hard-working line player who through years has developed his game. Now the next step is to try Skjern and the conditions and expectations associated with playing in the green jersey. He is the guarantor of fiercely fight and great physics at both ends of the court and has solid skills in the two-against-two games, which we expect to expand in the next seasons."
The first working day of Christoffer Cichosz in Skjern Håndbold is July 1, 2017 and he has been assigned jersey number 9.
Christoffer Cichosz has previously played in Skive fH and Lemvig-Thyborøn Håndbold.
