The Icelandic right back of Rhein-Neckar Löwen, Alexander Petersson, has a contract that expires after this season, but has allegedly signed a new one.

According to informations from Mannheimer Morgen has Rhein-Neckar Löwen extended the contract of 36-year-old Icelandic right back Alexander Petersson by at least two years.

In that case Alexander Petersson continues to form a right back duo with the talented Norwegian national player Harald Reinkind, who has a contract with the German champions to the summer of 2019.

Alexander Petersson, who came to Rhein-Neckar Löwen from Füchse Berlin in 2012, retired from the Icelandic national team recently.
