Rumor: Nielsen returns to Germany

The German champion Rhein-Neckar Löwen continues to build on the future.

After rumors of the duo of RK Vardar Jorge Maqueda and Ilija Abutovic joining the German champion Rhein-Neckar Löwen from next season (read more here), another player is put in connection with the German top club.

According to the German newspaper Mannheimer Morgen, who has received informations from French sources, the lions from Mannheimer also planning the commitment of Jesper Nielsen. The Swedish national player is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain. The line player may - together with Jannik Kohlbacher - be the successor of Hendrik Pekeler, who has signed a contract with THW Kiel (read more here).

The 28-year-old Swede started his professional career in the Swedish League club IK Sävehof. He has previously played in Germany in Füchse Berlin from 2013 to 2016 before joining PSG. Jesper Nielsen has furthermore played 76 caps and scored 90 goals for Sweden.
