The talented Norwegian right back of SG Flensburg-Handewitt, Magnus Rød, has suffered a hand injury and is very questionable for the upcoming European Championship.
Bad news for SG Flensburg-Handewitt and Norway. The Norwegian right back Magnus Rød has suffered a metacarpal fracture in the left hand on Thursday night in the Bundesliga match against TV Hüttenberg. Rød, injured in a defensive action in the early stages of the game, has to undergo surgery and will be out for about eight weeks, learns the newspaper Flensborg Avis.
The 20-year-old left-hander is therefore very questionable for the European Championship 2018 in Croatia in January. The talented right back, who came to SG Flensburg-Handewitt from the Norwegian club Bækkelaget SK before this season (read more here), was otherwise preferred over Harald Reinkind in the Norwegian national team in the Golden League-tournament in Denmark from 23.-30. October (read more here).
