The Danish right wing Simon Birkefeldt joins IFK Kristianstad.

The 28-year-old Danish right back Simon Birkefeldt joins the Swedish champion IFK Kristianstad on a 2-year contract after this season.

The former Danish youth national player joined the German Bundesliga club MT Melsungen from TTH Holstebro before this season. Before he came to the Danish league club TTH Holstebro he played with the league rivals Århus Håndbold.

Simon Birkefeldt had a contract with MT Melsungen to the summer of 2020, but he has been allowed to leave the club one year early.

Simon Birkefeldt replaces the Norwegian right back Stig Tore Moen Nilsen, who joins the Danish league club GOG after this season.
