HBW signs talented Norwegian

The Bundesliga club HBW Balingen-Weilstetten replaces Julian Krieg with the 21-year-old Norwegian right back of Haslum HK, Simen Nicolay Schønningsen.
The 21-year-old Norwegian right back of the Norwegian club Haslum HK, Simen Nicolay Schønningsen, has signed a 2-year contract with the German Bundesliga club HBW Balingen-Weilstetten.
"We have been watching Simen since the Junior European Championship in Denmark and invited him to a tryout in Balingen," said the Managing Director of HBW Balingen-Weilstetten, Wolfgang Strobel.
For the Norwegian youth national team Schønningsen has scored 217 goals in 51 games. He replaces the German right back, Julian Krieg (read more here).
Simen Schønningsen is the 3rd young Norwegian, who leaves the Norwegian League to join the Bundesliga after this season. Magnus Rød (from Bækkelaget to SG Flensburg-Handewitt - read more here) and Eirik Köpp (from Haslum HK to VfL Gummersbach - read more here) have also taken the step.
