Ekdahl excludes national team comeback

The Swedish left back of Rhein-Neckar Löwen, Kim Ekdahl Du Rietz, rules out to make a comeback on the Swedish national team.

The new head coach of the Swedish national team, Icelandic Kristján Andrésson, expressed, that he hopes that Kim Ekdahl Du Rietz will return to the Swedish national team, but the 27-year-old left back rejects to return:

"As I said, he (Kristján Andrésson, red.) can call me. But I have played my last national team match," The former Swedish national player states to the Swedish newspaper Expressen.

Kim Ekdahl Du Rietz chose already as a 25-year-old to stop on the national team.

Earlier this month the captain of the Swedish national team Tobias Karlsson decided to retire. Also the Swedish left wing Fredrik Petersen is concidering to retire.
