Diego Simonet returns to the handball court after 7 months.
The Argentian magician, Diego Simonet, is on the team roster of Patrice Cannayer, when Montpellier today faces RK Metalurg Skopje at home in the Champions League. The Argentinian playmaker has been injured since he torned the anterior cruciate ligaments of his right knee 7 months ago in late March in the eight finals in the Champions League against SG Flensburg-Handewitt.
The injury kept him out of the Olympics in Rio this summer, but he is on the other hand ready for the World Championship in his second homeland France in January.
Montpellier has been missing the genius playmaker. The French top club has had the worst beginning of the season since time immemorial, and has lost 4 of the last 7 matches.
