The Slovenian playmaker Vasja Furlan has extended his contract with the French League side US Ivry.
After the extensions of the contracts with the Danish right wing Morten Vium and the French playmaker Léo Martinez (read more here), the French League club US Ivry has now also extended the contract with the Slovenian playmaker Vasja Furlan.
The Slovenian playmaker has signed a one-year contract extension with US Ivry to the summer of 2019.
"A few weeks ago, the club offered to extend my contract for one more season and I have been very flattered. I feel really good here, in a nice team of friends. We do good things together, I feel that we are progressing and we will be able to continue like this for a long time. It's important for me to have this team spirit. I am really happy to be a real Red and Black. In addition I feel that I progress in French ... so it's a good thing to stay, right?" the 31-year-old experienced Slovenian states in a press release from US Ivry.
Vasja Furlan came to US Ivry from the Slovakian champion Tatran Presov in the summer of 2016. He has previously also played in Slovenian clubs as RK Maribor, RK Celje and RK Gold Club Kozina.
US Ivry is at the moment placed 10th in the French League with 7 points in 12 matches.
