The players and the staff will meet on Tuesday, December 26th in Capbreton (Landes) for a 5 days training course. After New Year's Eve, the group will meet again in Rouen (January 2nd to 4th) and then in Paris (January 5th to 10th) to play the 2nd stage of the Golden League, which is part of the preparation of the EHF EURO 2018 in Croatia, from January 12 to 28.

In Capbreton, at the time of the confectioners' truce, the reigning world champions will be gathered to carefully prepare the 2018 European Championship. "The departure of Daniel Narcisse greatly modifies the offensive operation at the level of rotations. We have to find the best team for the European Championship. In principle, at the end of the course of Capbreton, the list will be reduced to 20 players for this competition," says the French national coach Didier Dinart in a press release from the French Handball Federation.

Regarding the filing of the traditional list of 28 at the EHF earlier this week, the coach said: "It is an expanded list in which we will pick only in case of injury. Regarding Thierry Omeyer, who decided to end his career in France team last spring, there is no question of a comeback. But given its current benefits, I will not deprive myself of his potential in case of injuries. Naturally Vincent Gérard and Cyril Dumoulin have all my confidence."
