Nenad Damjanovic replaces Róbert Fekete as goalkeeper coach of Pick Szeged.
Róbert Fekete has decided to stop as goalkeeper coach of the Hungarian top club Pick Szeged with immediate effect.
"For months it matured me to make the decision to ask the management of the club, to be excluded from performing my duties as goalkeeping coach. Unfortunately, the trips and the morning sessions resulted in a level of occupation for which I had to squeeze my company into the background," explained Róbert Fekete.
The former Croatian national goalkeeper, who had a long career in clubs as Pick Szeged, Dunaferr SE, Veszprém, Athinaikosz and Grupo Sigarci Gijon in Hungary, Greece and Spain, became the goalkeeper coach of Pick Szeged in 2014.
The successor of Fekete is the 50-year-old Serb Nenad Damjanovic. The former goalie of RK Sintelon, RK Partizan, Sony Athinaikos, RK Metalurg, UCM Sport Resita and RK Vojvodina has signed a contract for the rest of the season.
Pick Szeged has at the moment five goalkeepers on contract; José Manuel Sierra, Marin Sego (injured), Martin Nagy, Urh Kastelic (on loan from RK Maribor Branik, but he is not eligible to play in the Champions League) and Imre Pasztor (loaned out).
