Eggert leaves Flensburg after this season

The 34-year-old Danish left wing of SG Flensburg-Handewitt, Anders Eggert, has signed a 3-year contract with the Danish club Skjern Håndbold from next season to the summer of 2020.

After 10 years in the German top club SG Flensburg-Handewitt is the Danish national player Anders Eggert ready to return to Denmark. He has signed a long term contract with the Danish club Skjern Håndbold, where he played on loan from SG Flensburg-Handewitt in the 2008/09-season and was named the best player of the season in the club. The agreement starts from next summer, 2017.

The technical skilled Danish left wing was due to an injury not at the Olympics in Rio, where the Danish national team won their first Olympic gold medal ever.

On the other hand he has won the Danish Championship with GOG, the European Championship in Serbia with Denmark in 2012 and the German Cup and the EHF Champions League with SG Flensburg-Handewitt. Furthermore he was the topscorer of the World Championship in Spain in 2013.
