The saga of Aron Palmarsson continues. According to the Montenegrin handball site Handballme.me FC Barcelona buys the Icelandic national player from Telekom Veszprém for 700.000 euros with immediate effect. Veszprém allegedly wants Nenadic as his replacement from January.

The Montenegrin handball site states the following on their Facebook:

"It's over - one of the best playmakers on the planet Aron Palmarsson will be in charge of FC Barcelona in the next ten days. The leaders of the two clubs (Telekom Veszprém and FC Barcelona) have found a common language for the transfer to be realized, rumored to be about 700,000 euros, so it is expected that the Icelandic national player will play the first matches for the most successful European team after the national week. Veszprém will immediately use a good deal of the money from the Catalans - Ljubomir Vranjes wants to get Petar Nenadić from Füchse Berlin in January, and his freedom is also not free - about 400,000 euros, since the Serbian national player has a contract with the foxes which expires in the summer of 2018."

The 15th of September the Spanish sportspaper Mundo Deportivo wrote, that the Hungarian top club Telekom Veszprém did not lower its financial requirements and continued asking FC Barcelona for 1 million euros for the transfer of Aron Palmarsson.

The templates are already closed for the first five days of Champions, but teams can also register new players: if they do before 31 October, they could play from the 6th day, but if they do later, dated limit on 1 February, they would have to wait for the K.O.-phase.

Regarding Petar Nenadic: The manager of Füchse Berlin, Bob Hanning, has confirmed that Telekom Veszprém has shown interest in signing the Serbian playmaker with immediate effect. "Before the season there was a request, which we however declined. If someone still has a contract, they are not for sale. I did not want to make the problems of others mine. The Hungarians suddenly needed a playmaker because they had not got Aron Palmarsson under control." the manager told Berliner Zeitung.

Petar Nenadic came to Füchse Berlin from Polish Wisla Plock in 2014. He has also played in RK Red Star Belgrade in Serbia, Algeciras BM and FC Barcelona in Spain, Pick Szeged in Hungary and TTH Holstebro in Denmark. He has played 63 caps and scored 145 goals for the Serbian national team, with whom he won silver at the European Championship 2012 at homeground in Serbia.

If the price tag of Aron Palmarsson is true, he becomes the 9th most expensive player of the history. See the top 10 transfers of all time here.
