The Danish line player René Toft Hansen joins Benfica.

The ambitious Portuguese top club SL Benfica has signed a 2-year contract with the 34-year-old Danish line player of the Hungarian top club Telekom Veszprém, René Toft Hansen, from next season to the summer of 2021. SL Benfica has just announced the news in a press release.

The experienced Danish national player states the following in the press release:

"I did not know a lot about Benfica, but after speaking with Carlos Resende and visit the club I got a great picture. It seemed very professional, with excellent facilities and everything a player needs to get great results. The Portuguese handball is in great development and I'm excited to be part of it."
