The 31-year-old Croatian line player, Zvonimir Kapular, has signed a contract with the Slovenian club RK Maribor Branik.

After losing Kristian Bećiri to RK Celje and Igor Čagalj got long-termed injured, the Slovenian club RK Maribor Branik had to act to find a new line player. The club has signed the experienced Croatian line player, Zvonimir Kapular, who has played in several clubs in Balkan, Romania, Qatar and latest in the Norwegian club Runar. He furthermore played in the Slovenian league in RK Ribnica from 2011 to 2013, where he scored 192 goals in 47 matches.

"Slovenia remained in my heart and I'm glad that I'm back here. You could say that games in the Slovenian league fits me well, so I decided without thinking to cooperate with Maribor. Maribor is due to injuries on the line player position in a difficult situation and my desire is to help. I think we have a good and young team, but lacks some experience. It is here that I can contribute, and I believe that we will now be better." stated the former Croatian national player in a press release.

RK Maribor Branik recently sacked their head coach Slavko Ivezič due to bad results. Instead Sebastjan Sovič has taken over.
