In an interview with the website of the regional league, SEHA-Liga.com, the 27-year-old Slovenian goalkeeper, Urban Lesjak, is talking about the future. The Slovenian national player, who has played all of his career with the Slovenian champion RK Celje, has a contract that expires at the end of the season and he has great ambitions.
We hereby bring some of the interview:
Q: After this season you will be a free agent. Coach Branko Tamse pointed out that he'd like to see you and Ziga Mlakar stay in the club like Borut Mackovsek did ...
A: Urban Lesjak:
"It's always nice to hear that kind of words from the coach. I am happy in Celje, my town, my club, as first goalkeeper. Dream came true for me. The team is getting younger each season. I have some plans, we discussed them already and all I can say at the moment is that the decision will be made in upcoming month or two. My ambitions are high, I'd like to join one of Europe's top 10 clubs. I can't hide it. However, I'm aware that might require some additional quality proofs. Some mid-steps might be necessary to reach that final destination in the end."
Urban Lesjak participated in the World Championship in France in January, where the Slovenian national team won a historic bronze medal. He has played 35 caps for his country. In addition, he has won the Slovenian Championship 4 times.
