Lazarov moves to Romania

The 31-year-old Macedonian national player Filip Lazarov leaves RK Vardar to join the Romanian club Poli Timişoara.

In an interview with the Macedonian website Ekipa.mk the 31-year-old Macedonian left back Filip Lazarov confirms, that he has signed a contract with the Romanian club Poli Timişoara:

"It is true. My career continues in Romania by being a part of Poli Timişoara. I had several offers in Macedonia, but I have decided to take a new challenge abroad."

Filip Lazarov is the little brother of FC Barcelona Lassas right back, Kiril Lazarov. Both players are an integral part of the national team of Macedonia. Filip has played 45 national caps and scored 101 goals. The 197 centimeters tall and 104 kilograms heavy Macedonian defence specialist started his professional career in Metalurg Skopje in 2003. In the season of 2006/07 he played in the Hungarian club PLER KC, before he returned to Metalurg in 2007. In 2011 he moved to the League-rivals RK Pelister. Later same year he signed a contract with RK Vardar, and he has played in Vardar until now.

Poli Timişoara won bronze in Romanian League last season. This season they participate in EHF Cup.
