The Bosnian national player Ivan Karačić has signed a contract with the Israeli club Maccabi Srugo Rishon Lezion.

The Swiss champions Kadetten Schaffhausen terminated the contract of Ivan Karačić with immediate effect in late September after failing results both in the Swiss league and latest with the home defeat in Champions League.

The 31-year-old Bosnian national player, who is the older brother of the Croatian national player of RK Vardar Igor Karacic, came to Kadetten during last season together with the current head coach of Kadetten Schaffhausen, the Dane Lars Walther. Both left the Romanian club HCM Minaur Baia Mare, which came in financial problems.

The playmaker of the Bosnian national team has now found his new club, Israeli Maccabi Srugo Rishon Lezion, which participates in this seasons EHF Cup. Ivan Karačić begins in the Israelian club after the European Qualifiers, where Bosnia faces Spain and Austria.
