The Croatian head coach of the Spanish Liga Asobal club Fertiberia BM Puerto Sagunto, Nikola Milos, has resigned with immediate effect.

The Croatian head coach of the Spanish Liga Asobal club Fertiberia BM Puerto Sagunto, Nikola Milos, has this morning resigned after a meeting with the club president Juanjo Bataller, the Spanish club announces in a press release. The poor results, especially yesterday that condemns the team to spend Christmas in relegation place, have been decisive for the decision of the Croatian coach, who took over the team two seasons ago replacing the Valencian coach Patxi Martí.

The assistant coach, José Vicente Tomas, will be in charge of taking over the team provisionally as of today in training and until the club decide who will be the replacement of Nikola Milos.

The vice president of the, Carlos Argente, stated the following in a press release of the club: "The sport of high competition is like that. The results rule and the dynamics of play and results of recent times demanded decisions. Nikola Milos has stepped forward and submitted his resignation. The reality is that we are in descent positions and permanence is a nonnegotiable need to maintain the structure of the club. We wish Milos the best of luck in his professional future."

Fertiberia BM Puerto Sagunto is placed 2nd to last in the Spanish Liga Asobal with 7 points in 15 matches. The club has played in the best Spanish League since 2010.
