The Swedish left back Tobias Varvne replaces Nico Büdel in HSC Coburg.

The 30-year-old former Swedish youth national player, Tobias Varvne, who has also played 3 caps for Sweden, has signed a contract with the promoters of the Bundesliga HSC 2000 Coburg. Varvne joins Coburg after 3 years at the Austrian top club Bregenz Handball.

In HSC 2000 Coburg he replaces the 27-year-old German left back Nico Büdel, who has signed a contract with the league rivals HC Erlangen after this season.

"Tobias is a very clever player, who can both be a danger himself, as well as to put his teammates in an excellent position. He has convinced us not only in many games, but also in our personal conversations, with his professional and goal-oriented performance," says the head coach of HSC 2000 Coburg, Jan Gorr.

"I am very happy to sign a contract with HSC. I've only heard good things about the club, the fans and the professional environment. My dream has always been to play in the German Bundesliga - with the HSC, I can now fulfill this dream," the Swedish left back states.

Tobias Varvne started his senior career in the Swedish club LIF Lindesberg and has besides his current Austrian club Bregenz Handball also played in the Swedish club IFK Skövde for three years.
