Press release from TV 05/07 Hüttenberg:
Tim Stefan extends his contract with TV 05/07 Hüttenberg
Bundesliga-promoters TV 05/07 Hüttenberg and back court player Tim Stefan have agreed on a premature contract extension until 30.06.2019. In the summer of 2016 the 22-year-old back court player changed from SV Henstedt-Ulzburg to Mittelhessen. The right-hander, trained at HSV Hamburg, quickly became a regular player of TVH's coach Aðalsteinn Eyjólfsson, and with his 92 goals he played a decisive role in the sensational rise to the Bundesliga last season.
In addition to his activities as a Bundesliga player of the TV 05/07 Hüttenberg, Stefan has graduated as an industrial trader from the Giessen-based company Heyligenstaedt Werkzeugmaschinenbau GmbH. The goal getter, who also was offered attractive offers from other Bundesliga clubs, made his decision to extend the contract, which had originally been extended until June 2018, to an overall package of sporting opportunities, professional perspectives and the appropriate Hüttenberger environment: "I feel very well at Hüttenberg and have a good team around me, with whom it is a lot of fun to train and play. In addition, the professional as well as the private environment are also good, so I did not find it difficult to extend this at an early stage," says Tim Stefan.
"We are delighted to be able to bind a young, very talented player to the TV Hüttenberg for another year. Tim has made a great development last season and will certainly continue to play an important role in our team in the future. This makes the planning for the upcoming season a lot easier for us," explains Managing Director Lothar Weber.
