THW Kiel promotes youngsters

The German record holders THW Kiel has promoted Thies Bergemann and Ferris Klotz to the 1st team for the upcoming season.
The roster of the upcoming season for THW Kiel continues to take shape: With the 21-year-old right-wing Thies Bergemann and the 18-year-old line player Ferris Klotz, two more youngsters from the youth team of the THW Kiel are moving into the expanded professional squad.
Thies Bergemann, who was born in Kiel on January 19, 1996, has been running all of the young talent teams of the THW Kiel since the B-youth, and has been playing with the cooperation partner TSV Altenholz in the 3. Bundesliga North since this season. "I am proud to get the chance to learn a lot from the professionals, which is what every youth in the hall stands for every day," the left-hander states in a press release from THW Kiel.
Ferris Klotz is also a native Kieler. Born on 26 May 1998, the line player who changed from TSV Kronshagen to THW Kiel in 2012 and developed in the junior team to a youth national player, won the bronze medal at the U18 European Championships this summer. "I am looking forward to the experiences that can be gained through the daily work with the professionals. And I hope that I can push forward my development."
Besides Thies Bergemann and Ferris Klotz also the 19-year-old back court player Lucas Firnhaber and the 21-year-old goalkeeper Tom Landgraf will also be part of the extended first team squad for next season.
