Rumor: Häfner to Melsungen

According to the German newspaper BILD Kai Häfner joins MT Melsungen after this season.

The German national player Kai Häfner may well be close to find a new club. According to informations from the German newspaper BILD the 29-year-old German right back will leave TSV Hannover-Burgdorf to join the Bundesliga rivals MT Melsungen in the summer of 2020. 

Almost everything is allegedly clear with the ambitious Bundesliga club. Only minor details are missing according to BILD. The departure in 2020 is considered decided. A change after this season is according to BILD also conceivable. But MT Melsungen would have to buy Häfner, who has a contract with Die Recken valid until the summer of 2020.

Previously we reported that the Müller twins may leave MT Melsungen after this season (read more here). MT Melsungen has already signed a new right back for next season, the 22-year-old German player of Die Eulen Ludwigshafen, Stefan Salger. The Danish right back of MT Melsungen, Simon Birkefeldt, has been allowed to find a new club despite a contract until the summer of 2020.
