Does the "lost son" Aron Palmarsson returns to his former club THW Kiel?
It is a question that many have asked themselves recently. In early September the Icelandic head coach of THW Kiel, Alfred Gislason, confirmed, that the Icelandic national player was his "absolute dream player".
Now the ex-zebra Aron Palmarsson confirms to Kieler Nachrichten that he has an offer from his former club:
"There is an offer, and that makes me very proud. How Alfred talks about me makes me proud. Very proud. That the best club in the world has such an interest in me is incredible."
It is certain that Palmarsson will be contractually bound to the Hungarian top club Telekom Veszprém until the summer of 2018. It is also a fact that THW Kiel is not the only club, who is interested in the popular playmaker. The agent of Aron Palmarsson, Sasa Bratic, has several opportunities:
"Other clubs are also interested. But I'm just trying to concentrate fully on Veszprem. I came to Kiel at the age of 19, and will always be a THW fan. I have time, I will make a long and thorough search, check all options and then decide. Probably first next summer."
According to Kieler Nachrichten, who has published the story today, the France top club Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in the Icelandic playmaker. Despite a contract with Telekom Veszprém undtil the summer of 2018, Aron Palmarsson may be tempted:
"If a club wants to buy me out of my contract, I am ready," he states to Kieler Nachrichten.
The 26-year-old Icelandic playmaker came to THW Kiel in 2009 as only 19-year-old. He won the Bundesliga 4 times and the Champions League twice. In 2015 he signed a 3 years contract with the Hungarian champions Telekom Veszprem.
