The 2. Bundesliga club ASV Hamm-Westfalen lents the 23-year-old German right back from TBV Lemgo, Max Höning, for the rest of the season.

Press release from ASV Hamm-Westfalen:

With a highly interesting after-commitment, the 2. Bundesliga club ASV Hamm-Westfalen has reacted to the current situation in addition to the commitment of co-coach Christof Reichenberger. At the moment third to last in the 2. Bundesliga has added the back court player Max Höning of the Bundesliga club TBV Lemgo on loan to the end of the season. The 23-year-old will most likely already play on Saturday against the undefeated top club SG BBM Bietigheim.

The two-meter-long left-hander had previously played at the ASV Senden and had been brought to the TBV by the then Lemgoer junior coaching Niels Pfannenschmidt. "I am looking forward to seeing him again," explained the current ASV coach Pfannenschmidt, who accompanied the native Dattelner on his way to the first league intensively. "With him we get a strong player", Pfannenschmidt from Höning promises more impulses from the last less powerful back court. "We are convinced that Max Höning will be able to make a clear boost in quality of the offensive," says Franz Dressel,  expecting a lot of things, even if the 23-year-old had a certain period of familiarization.

Thanks to the good relationship with the TBV, the loan was arranged very quickly, reported Dressel of very good talk with TBV managing director Jörg Zereike. A further engagement, which goes beyond the loan, at the ASV will be announced in a timely fashion, according to Dressel. In October 2015 Höning had received an additional two-year contract with TBV professionals until the summer of 2018. He had started his career in Olfen before moving to the C-Youth ASV Senden.

Here, he drew attention above all by good performances in the A-Youth-Bundesliga. In the 1. league he scored the last season 38 goals. "I am really looking forward to this task at ASV. Not least because some former players from the TBV are active, I have followed the development of the ASV in the past years. I am convinced that there is a lot more in the team than the position at the moment indicates. And of course, I hope that I can do my part to find our way out of the cellar," explained Max Höning.
