Magdeburg secures German talent

The German youth national player Lukas Mertens has signed a contract with SC Magdeburg from next season.

The 20-year-old German left wing of the 2. Bundesliga club Wilhelmshavener HV, Lukas Mertens, has signed a 2-year contract with SC Magdeburg from next season to the summer of 2019 to replace Yves Grafenhorst, who'll end his career after the current season.

Lukas Mertens is an integral part of the German U21-national team and must form a duo with the German national player Matthias Musche in SC Magdeburg.

Yves Grafenhorst continues as assistant coach and youth coordinator.
