The former Slovenian national player Miladin Kozlina has signed a contract with the German 2. Bundesliga club Rhein Vikings with immediate effect.

Prior to the home game against ASV Hamm-Westfalen, which is scheduled for Saturday, the newcomers of 2. Bundesliga, Rhein Vikings, has reinforced the squad. The 34-year-old former Slovenian national player Miladin Kozlina, who since summer when he left GWD Minden has been free agent, joins Rhein Vikings with immediate effect.

"Miladin is a very experienced, defensive left back, but he also plays very clever in the offensive. He gives us more breadth and depth in the squad and will certainly help us - especially due to our current very difficult personal situation", says Vikings head coach Ceven Klatt in a press release about the 34-year-old newcomer, who has played 117 caps for Slovenia, and played in well-known clubs such as RK Celje, Frisch Auf Göppingen, RK Metalurg and RK Vardar, as well as the TSV GWD Minden from 2014 to 2017.

"We have been watching the market for a long time and are glad that we were able to get Miladin for us," explains Vikings Managing Director René Witte.

"I already had the opportunity to train with the team twice. I was very well received and hope to be able to help the team quickly," says Kozlina.

Rhein Vikings is at the moment placed 16th in the German 2. Bundesliga.
