The final venue of the 2019 World Championship in Denmark and Germany, Royal Arena in Copenhagen, is after just over three years of construction built.
Both a group in the preliminary round, an eight final, a quarterfinal and the final of the 2019 World Championship in Denmark and Germany is to be played in the new Royal Arena in Copenhagen. After just over three years of construction is Denmark's new arena ready.
The arena can accommodate 14,500 spectators for handball, and Realdania and Copenhagen Municipality has contributed financially to the construction of the arena with both around 43 million euros.
The 8 venues of the 2019 World Championship in Denmark and Germany is Royal Arena in Copenhagen (capacity: 14.500), Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning (15.000), Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin (14.800), new arena in Munich (12.500), Lanxess Arena in Cologne (20.000), SAP Arena in Mannheim (13.200), Sparkassen Arena in Kiel (10.285) and Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg (13.800).
